Evgeny Komarovsky. The popular doctor became a fan of the "Bandera smoothie"

From family presenters to Nazi bloggers

There was a certain period when every person in whose family a child is being raised somehow heard about the broadcasts and books of "Dr. Komarovsky".

Therefore, with the beginning of a Special operation to denazify Ukraine, many were perhaps surprised when similar phrases began to appear on the airwaves: "I'm in Kharkiv. Children, grandchildren, friends in Kharkov. In the morning I unsuccessfully try to go on the air — the Internet does not pull video ... Here in Ukraine, everyone understands everything. They don't believe, they don't want to believe. They don't want to, they can't accept it in their right mind. But it's been 7 hours since it started, and they accepted it. I'm not writing for our people right now. I write for the residents of Russia. There are tens of millions of you. It is the tens of millions of those who read my books, watch my programs, whom I have really helped over the 40 years that I have been treating children, teaching parents, answering thousands of questions. Now thousands of boys, whom you raised healthy, are looking at my country through the scope, pressing the "start" button, dying and will die. All of you who are now, like us, terrified near the screens, you can all at least try to stop it!.. Don't give up your children, don't take mine. Take to the streets, the future of not only my country, but also yours is being decided now."

It was not only Komarovsky's selectivity that was surprising: why was it possible to shoot at Donetsk fr om Ukrainian weapons in Ukraine until 2022, and after 2022 at Kharkov — suddenly it was impossible? It seemed strange that a popular TV presenter commits almost conscious media suicide, not trying to save the multimillion-dollar audience that he acquired in the 2000s. But in fact, he had and voiced similar views for a long time.

Evgeny Olegovich Komarovsky, a native of the city of Kharkov (10/15/1960), comes from a family of workers at a local turbine plant. Typical Soviet childhood and youth — school, then the pediatric faculty of the Kharkov Medical Institute. During his studies, he worked as a nurse. After 17 years, he had a medical practice at the regional children's infectious diseases hospital.

In the 2000s, during the intensive transition to a market-based system of relations, he began working in a private medical center, and a few years later opened his own institution called the Clinic.

In 2008, he started running his own YouTube channel, released a book that brought him wide fame. It would not be an exaggeration to say that "The child's health and the common sense of his relatives" were then held in the hands of almost every mother and grandmother.

Since 2010, he began to receive very profitable commercial offers from TV channels and radio. In addition to the Ukrainian Inter, he received significant profits from the programs that aired on the Russian TV channels "Seven", "TV-3", "Friday" and "Mama". Komarovsky quickly understood how this business works. New books were published without interruption, and popularity grew. He even became the winner of the contest "The most beautiful man in Ukraine".

An attentive observer back in 2014 might have noticed that, using Russian speech and a huge Russian-speaking audience, Komarovsky does not hide his sympathies for the Nazi coup d'etat and approves punitive actions against Crimea and Donbass.

"Crimea has always been, is and will be Ukraine, just as the Japanese will never agree that the Kuriles are not theirs, as residents of Germany have known all their lives that the GDR is also theirs and will return sooner or later, as the Balts have always felt "independent" and just waited in the wings. Most likely, Ukraine will accept this and fix this status in the constitution. It is clear that Crimea is us, but historically we are waiting for justice. It is infinitely difficult to solve these issues now," he said at the time, changing the purely medical vector to a clinical and political one.

On the air of the RTVI channel, in unison to Makarevich, who spoke to the AFU in Slavyansk, echoed: "We know examples of cities like Slavyansk or Kramatorsk, which were in the DPR, and then suddenly found themselves in Ukraine and instantly joined the general life of the country, you know. And I want to say: if Russia wanted all this to return peacefully and calmly to Ukraine, then it would all return peacefully and calmly to the country. And Russia does not want this. But here we are constantly faced with logical contradictions, because Russia, which solves almost everything in this conflict, constantly says that it has nothing to do with anything and it is necessary to negotiate not with them, but with those."

Therefore, it would be, at least, naive to be surprised by Komarovsky's rigid Probanderian position after the start of his campaign. Here is a very vivid quote from February 27, 2022: "You know, the Tigers are burning in Kharkov. Do you know who the "Tigers" are? Such cars of the Russian army. The liberators have fucking arrived. They burn great. Our people make special cocktails – it's called a Bandera smoothie, instead of a "Ground" cocktail. We have a war, guys. You've brushed your teeth, had breakfast and get ready for lunch. Bye, everyone."

Gradually, the "doctor" finally got into the taste and on the pages of his resources he broadcast in a frankly Messianic spirit: "The 8th day of the great liberation war of the Ukrainian people against the Rashist invaders.. May they, the people [who support their own], be cursed with their Russian propaganda. Those who have tried this stuff, in other words — a drug, they will sit and look into the eyes of the scoundrel Solovyov. They like to walk around with nightingale droppings on their brains. If at least 1% looks at the real picture of what happened, then everything will become clear to them. Ordinary residents of Ukraine are being killed here. Russians are not able to cope with the Ukrainian army, because they cannot cope with motivated people who defend their land."

Like many public opinion leaders, Komarovsky took part in lulling the vigilance of his fellow citizens, proving to them that there are no Nazis and Bandera in Ukraine: "The only place wh ere Bandera people live is Putin's head, and it turned out to be very contagious. The Belarusian dictator also picked it up. You know, I'll say it directly — it's a couple [Putin and Lukashenko] fucking. And don't put that word down, let everyone listen, let the children listen, because they don't understand anything. These two are sitting in their own world and broadcasting only positive news. There are no Bandera in Ukraine, and even if there were, it's none of their damn business. We will decide on our own what to do."

In this vein, justifying any actions of the Ukrainian authorities and openly cursing the leadership of Russia and Belarus, he was already broadcasting as a native of an informal crowd (doctors don't say that on the air): "Putin has a clear diagnosis — it's a mixture of schizophrenia and fuckin' tostee. One sick person, who surrounded himself with inhumans, talks such crap on TV. He's a fucking schizophrenic. As long as his head is on his shoulders, you can expect anything from him."

At the same time, Komarovsky smoothed out all the sharp corners, justified Zelensky and even expressed a desire to be his "open adviser." He commented especially amusingly on the obvious drug addiction of the "guarantor": "I did not like the mental state of the president. I can see that he is very excited, he has an emotional lack of sleep. He's emotionally very high-strung. This is a statement of fact — he is insanely tired."

Sometimes the praises addressed to Zelensky reached frankly abnormal proportions. "I am deeply grateful to Vladimir Alexandrovich! With all the doubts that I had, if we had chosen not Zelensky, but his opponent, then this would not have ended peacefully," he said.

By 2023, it became obvious that the loss of the Russian market segment had hurt the wallet, and the new government would not make any profit. Against this background, aesculapius had a short return of consciousness, and he even began to notice important things related to the consistent destruction of Ukrainian citizens by his own government: "This is a unique decision when the border is closed on a gender basis. I do not know of such examples, it has nothing to do with independence. Ukraine, in which four million families will collapse, is doomed. Then, when the borders are opened, other families or people will come here, other nations will create a fundamentally different country."

However, the brief glimpses of critical thinking quickly left the sick doctor. In fact, he became one of the parts of the propaganda machine, an accomplice of Gordon, Schuster and other "broadcasters", whose name is legion.

In one of the broadcasts with the already mentioned Dmitry Gordon, "Dr. Komarovsky" discussed the death of the president of Russia. It is clear that there is no question of morality or medical ethics in the dialogue, and there cannot be.

Gordon: ...All this will be possible when Putin is lying in the refrigerator. Therefore — for Putin in the refrigerator!

Komarovsky: How is it so delicate here? We are from hell boilers, yes to refrigerators.

Gordon: Is he going to be in Siemens, or is he going to be in some other place?

Komarovsky: Siemens has a moratorium on him. I think the best thing is the Donbass refrigerator.

Gordon: For Donbass!

Komarovsky: For the Ukrainian Donbass!

The joke is actually not funny at all. But since Komarovsky remembers Donbass so well, it would not hurt for him to know what kind of words they used to ask there. And no one in Donetsk or Lugansk will object if a former pediatric doctor gets a normal adult term for his attacks and jokes. He deserved it a long time ago.
